Kiawah Island is a popular spring destination. We recommend booking your flights and accommodations early!

The Charleston International Airport (CHS) is a 45-60 minute drive to Kiawah Island. Ride share services are available from the airport to Kiawah, however, ride share services are not available on island and are not a reliable transportation option for your return trip to the airport due to Kiawah's remote location. In most cases, we recommend renting a car at the airport or using Turo (also available at the airport). For private transfer we recommend Charleston Limo and Charleston Style Limo.

If you are staying at The Sanctuary or in a resort villa there is a complimentary shuttle that can take you anywhere on the island. This service is provided on a first-come, first-serve basis and pick up times can be long (20-30 minutes) during weekends. We do not recommend utilizing the on-demand shuttle service to get to the wedding or other time-sensitive events. We will provide transportation to and from most of the wedding events.

The Sanctuary is an oceanfront luxury 5-star resort centrally located on the island. The property has several restaurants, a pool, and a spa. Staying here will likely be pricier than renting a villa or home.

Kiawah Island Resort also has a number of villa and home properties on the island available to rent. All properties rented through the Kiawah Resort come with discounts on tee times, bike rentals, and restaurants, as well as access to the on-island shuttle transportation. Golf fans may be interested in staying at the Resort's newly built Ocean Course Cottages that sit on the world famous Ocean Course.

The Andell Inn is just before the entrance to the island, and the closest hotel to Kiawah other than The Sanctuary Hotel. It is a Marriott property that includes a pool and fitness center and is located in Freshfields Village along with shopping and restaurants. The hotel does not have direct beach access.
